Give into temptation and join us for Oscars incredible journey and enjoy coffee and biscuits in our cafe.

Over the hour Simon Whitehouse will introduce us to :

Oscar Wilde: aesthete, writer, wit, social analyst, gay icon and perhaps even the first Arts Society lecturer….? Join (recovering) actor, award winning London Blue Badge Guide & Oscar devotee Simon Whitehouse as he takes you back in time to the 'naughty nineties’ & the extraordinary world of Oscar Wilde. From his Irish roots we trace Oscar’s incredible journey via the dreaming spires of Oxford to the Wild West, bohemian Chelsea & elegant Mayfair & St James where we celebrate his glittering theatrical successes in the heart of the West End.

At the height of his fame, he then gives the performance of his life at the most infamous criminal trial of the century…… ‘I can resist everything except temptation’ So why not give into temptation and attend Wilde About Oscar?
