The Arts Society Driffield and Wolds have made use of this year's Community Grant to make a £250 donation to Barnados in order to support young arts.
Megan Price committee member, visited the Buzz club based at Holme on the Wolds, between Driffield and Beverley. The group supports children and young people with disabilities and complex health needs.
After learning of the donation the team at Barnados decided to buy marbelling kits and Christmas craft to support the AQA qualifications for their older young people and introduce a new art medium for all of their groups. It is anticipated that the Arts Society donation will support over 140 children and young people, to express themselves through art.
The Buzz club is aimed at 12-18 years while the Bumble B’s is for the 5-11 age group.
Megan is pictured with leader Amy (front of picture) and a range of the work created.
