We’ve had a busy week at TAS Kington Langley. Our normal monthly lecture on Tuesday 4th March and then our Special Interest Day on Friday 7th March.
Our first lecture of the week was ‘Hidden Canvasses – Street Art’ with Doug Gillen. He gave this lecture last year as part of Chippenham Fringe Festival and it was such a great success that we booked him for TASKL as part of this year’s programme.
Public Art Chippenham (PAC) is a group of artists, teachers, councillors and business owners whose aim is to brighten up the streets of Chippenham with murals and other artworks.
PAC is currently an unregistered charity, until it has raised enough money to register. We were lucky enough to receive funding from The Arts Society Patricia Fay Fund to commission the first mural from artist Ed Poster (Ed Russell), a very experienced muralist who works internationally as well as nationally and in local cities.
