What means "Art Deco?"

100 years on why do we still love the Art Deco style? The Art Deco period of the 1920s, and its development within its social and economic development, is a phenomenon to be questioned, whilst looking at specific examples of objet d'art, and iconic representations of civic and domestic architecure. Examples will include locations to be found in London, Miami, New York, Mumbai which will all show that the 1920s and '30s represented one of the most alluring and enduring of styles.
