An introduction to buying antiques and integrating and using them in today’s homes.
A look at what current and future generations of collectors are buying, why they are
buying it and how they are displaying it.
The morning lectures are a practical and inspirational look at furniture, ceramics, glass, lighting and metal ware, to identify key designs and designers, and then examine the revolutionary design movements theybegan.
Then the afternoon session involves Mark working with the audience to run an identification or Q&A session around the items brought in by attendees, aiming at an enjoyable interactive last hour of the day.
GUIDANCE ON ITEMS TO BRING
Attendees may bring in smaller 20th century ceramics and glass ONLY! Eg: Art Nouveau,
Art Deco, Modernism, Mid-century etc, until the present day — things found, and even used, at home.
NO militaria, medals, books, antiquities or jewellery at all. NB: some silver and pictures can be challenging.
