Visit to Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens

42 members and guests visited Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens in Sussex on Tuesday 6th June.
It was a big success with wonderfully sunny weather and stunning surroundings. There were still plenty of rhododendrons and azaleas in bloom and the scent in the air drifted around as you walked through the pathways. There was plenty of wildlife to see including Wallabies. A miniature dolls house exhibition blew everyone away and was worth a visit all of its’ own. Many of the party also thoroughly enjoyed a talk about the Sculptures dotted around the gardens by Anton Smit called the ‘Walk of Life.’
Next time maybe we should consider the afternoon tea although the Michelin starred restaurant may be a little out of most peoples’ pockets!
