An unusual outdoor arts project

Despite the difficulties that everyone has faced over the last few months, the Arts Society Dukeries was able to fund an unusual outdoor arts project for Hallcroft Infants School Retford Nottinghamshire during the summer term. A local artist James Brunt worked with all the children aged 3 to 6, to gather natural materials from the school grounds and then helped each class make a variety of interesting patterns on the field. All the children were involved foraging and creating some intricate pieces of work. It was a fun experience outside the classroom for the children, many of whom had been home schooled over the last few months. The perfect pandemic project.
