The Arts Society Kington Langley have part sponsored ' Modern Art Collective Exhibition.'

Reimagined/Redefined 18th – 29th October 2024

Rae Melody, one of the contributors in the exhibition is a local Chippenham based artist and TASKL and TAS Wessex Area have used her expertise and teaching skills to run CPD workshops for art teachers and as part of Art Bytes.

Rae along with the seven other artists from the South West have created an exciting contemporary exhibition of their work now opened at the Prior Shop in Cabot Circus – a not for profit independent shop

The artists met on a course together and have kept in contact with each other over the years. Their collection of work is vibrant and exciting, with a creative and interesting use of techniques, media, scale and colour.

The MODERN ART COLLECTIVE features eight artists: Sarah Boden, Hemali Modha, Rae Melody, Rhianon Beardsall, Wendy Golding, Gaynor Leverett-Jaques, Sue Pickering and Rachael Johnson and each artist brings their own personal view to their work, all of which is for sale.

At the Launch Party there were lots of red dots already on show so the exhibition promises to be very successful. It was interesting to talk to some of the artists and look more carefully at their work including - paintings, prints, glass, jewellery, collage creating work that ranges from abstract to more literal images.

As TASKL was one of the sponsors the artists have displayed our bookmarks, programme cards and Special Interest Day Leaflets for visitors to take away with them.
