Launch of new Trail of Discovery
22 Oct 2018
The ancient church of Blyth was the setting for an exciting afternoon for a class of children from St Mary and St Martin Primary School. The children and their teachers had come to launch a new Children’s Trail, a questionnaire that led them round the church, discovering interesting facts about their local history, the architecture and the furnishings of this beautiful old building. The trail was made by a small team of volunteers from The Arts Society Dukeries, who have now made five trails in the local area. The children finished off with well-deserved refreshments and everyone received a certificate and sticker to take home, even some of the invited adult guests who also took part in the event!
