INSPIRING YOUNG CREATIVES AT THE WOOD!

The Arts Society Appleby in Westmorland were delighted to sponsor Great Asby School, Appleby in their forest day on Friday 25th October. Mask Wood is a proposed community woodland near Great Asby. It is being developed by The Asby Tree Group in collaboration with local landowner Rob Braithwaite.
The woodland area is intended to be publicily accessible and will serve as an outdoor classroom for the school and the local community.
The wood became alive as children explored its natural beauty and unleashed their creativity in this incredible outdoor classroom. From lopping branches to crafting drop pancakes and toasted marshmallows over the fire, the children turned everyday tasks into little works of art. After lunch, members of The Asby Tree Group and local community joined in to celebrate this space, which will foster both outdoor learning and creative expre
