Heritage Volunteers Hard At Work

25 May 2018

The Arts Society Hambleton Heritage Volunteers have been working with the North Yorkshire County Records Office for some time.
At the beginning of 2018 they began recording papers from the Quarter Sessions in the area in the early 19th century.  Currently 12 members have begun work on recording the correspondence of Caroline Robson of Holtby Hall and then of Solberge Hall in North Yorkshire, which dates from the 1820’s onward and were delivered to the office in their original box by Caroline’s great-great grandson, David Hutton-Squire.
