We are pleased to invite you to an exceptional exhibition on the renowned surrealist artist Giorgio de Chirico (1888-1978) who inspired the Belgian movement led by Delvaux and Magritte.
Born in Greece to Italian parents, de Chirico transited through Munich and Florence before settling in Paris. Both cities influenced his work: Nietzche is omnipresent as are the vast squares in Florence, deserted, mysterious and timeless.
The 44 works by de Chirico are presented alongside those of a dozen Belgian artists to better illustrate the immense infleunce he had on their work.
Meet for lunch at 12:00 in the main square followed by a short guided visit of the city centre or meet at the museum at 15:15.
