Community Arts Updates - March 2023

The aim of Community Arts is to encourage art in our local community with the help of money granted (through our monthly raffle and a discretionary grant from The Art Society), to support a variety of local art-based projects.

Currently we are funding:

• A mosaic in the Countess of Chester Country Park to mark the impact of COVID on our local community. This is a commission created by Aleta Doran who is the artist in residence at Chester Cathedral.

• Supporting an after school art club at The Arches School in Blacon;
•  
• Supporting a pottery workshop for Ukranian refugees at The Wesley Church in Chester. They meet every Saturday and have a variety of activities, but with our help they are able to fund the materials needed for their pottery project.
