Pilgrim Fathers’ Church presented with Church Record by The Arts Society Dukeries
In December Babworth Church, which has connections with the Pilgrim Fathers, was the scene of a presentation by The Arts Society Dukeries of a bound copy of the Babworth Church Record. The Record has been prepared by a group of volunteers from The Arts Society Dukeries who have meticulously examined, researched, recorded and photographed the furnishings, artefacts and fabric of the church. Nationally, over a period of 45 years, The Arts Society has documented 1,800 churches around the country, with 2,300 individuals making up 170 groups.
Gill Rawlin, Head of Church Recording, The Arts Society Dukeries presented the Record to Rev Kerswill and Babworth Churchwardens Peter Swinscoe and Claire Davies. A special Society kneeler was also given to the church.
