The Arts Society is delighted to have awarded Create with a recent grant from the Patricia Fay Memorial Fund to support Creates professional skill development programme for emerging artists.
Following the pandemic, support for the arts is more critical than ever. Create (Charity of the Year 2020) is the UK's leading charity empowering lives, reducing isolation and enhancing wellbeing through the creative arts. With the help of a grant from The Arts society, Create's "Nuturing Talent" initiaitve upskilled Emerging Artists from a range of disciplines in a 12 month programme, providing participants with training and experience to develop creative workshop facilitation in diverse and challenging settings.
Emerging Artists took part in professional development training days, skill sharing days, assisted with the delivery of 225 half day workshops and developed skills and confidence in the planning and delivery of workshops enabling over 150 disadvantaged and vulnerable participants to experience high quality creative workshops.
