For our December Arts Discussion Group we held a fascinating session during which members discussed books they would like to receive or give as presents.
The full list is attached as a file for you to peruse if you wish. It was an interesting exercise, several non-fiction books were chosen as well as fiction which covered an art or art historcal subject.
There wasn't time to include all the choices so I am sure we will hold another session later this year. I immediately went to the bookshop to order the Caravaggio by Andrew Graham-Dixon. As luck would have it a lockdown was declared and I have only just collected it. A treat waiting to be opened.
I am happy to extend the list if you have books just crying out to be shared among a wider audience.
If you like the idea send me your choices and I will update our list, if you are not a member but would like to become a member please contact me. We are happy to offer a first complimentary lecture to give you an idea of what a great Society we are !!!
