Arts Discussion Group and Coffee mornings
9 May 2021
Last August we held our first Arts Discussion Group and coffee morning. As Chairwoman, to lead the way I presented the talk featuring the painting " Whistlejacket" by George Stubbs. We had 32 attendees.
Since then our Discussion Groups have gone from strength to strength. Our attendance numbers are up to 80 devices and many of our members have become involved.
We have heard about The Festival of Britain, England's Anglican Cathedrals, Art, Baked Beans and Advertising among other topics and most recently an excellent talk about the English painter Paul Sandby.
Our May Discussion Group features paintings chosen by our members and promises to be a real blockbuster.
If you are not a member but are thinking of joining us, you are welcome to come to this meeting, just email welwyngarden@theartssociety.org for further information.
