Welcome to The Arts Society Harlow

Our Society brings people together through a shared curiosity for the arts and a desire to conserve our artistic heritage.
Our events provide a welcoming place to hear expert lecturers share their specialist knowledge on a wide range of subjects. The Arts Society is a great way to learn, have fun and make new and lasting friendships.

Recent lectures have included: Antoni Gaudi and His Architecture in Barcelona, Giles: The Life,Times and Cartoons of a National Treasure, The Art and Culture of Fin de Siecle Vienna.

Apart from monthly lectures we arrange organised trips for members. Recently these have included: The Royal Opera House Workshop, Strawberry Hill House, Lunch and Cruise on board 'My Fayre Lady' along the Regent's Canal with a visit to Clarence House and a Walking Tour of Smithfield in the City of London.

As a Society, we support Young Arts projects in our local area.

Our friendly Society currently has a membership of about 120 and does not have a waiting list. The annual subscription is £45.
Lectures are given in the evening and members come from Harlow, Sawbridgeworth, Loughton, Epping and surrounding villages.

Lectures start at 8.00pm and last aproximately one and a half hours. Free tea or coffee is available from 7.15 - 7.45pm.
