The poems of Wilfred Owen set in the context of his fellow soldier poets such as Sassoon and Brooke. Also war artists and contemporary music.

The Great War changed the world and society for ever, yet out of the carnage emerged heroism, courage, loyalty and poetry. This lecture has the poems of Wilfred Owen at its core, set in the context of his fellow soldier-poets, Sassoon, Brooke etc. Illustrated by war artists Paul and John Nash, Nevinson, Sargent with musical extracts and songs from the trenches.
