Meet at B&Q car park 5 Neat Market, Hall Road NORWICH NR4 6EG
A visit to the Docklands Museum and guided Docklands walk describing the regeneration since the 1960s
The visit provides an opportunity to visit the slightly inaccessible Docklands area by coach and to explore both the Docklands Museum and the surrounding area.
The morning will be spent at the Docklands Museum, with a guided tour of a new exhibition: Slavery, Culture and Collecting, which details the slave owner and collector George Hibbert.
Afterwards there will be time to look around the permanent exhibition halls, which trace the history of the London docks from Roman times to the present, and to have some lunch.
In the afternoon there will be an OUTSIDE tour of around 90 minutes to see the regeneration of the area post 1950s. (There is plenty to see in the Museum for those who do not feel up to a walking tour.)
