A visit to Chichester, the Pallant Art Gallery, and also the Newlyn School exhibition at Champs Hill
This is an easy to manage day with free time spent in Chichester during the morning. Places of interest to visit are the beautiful cathedral, the shopping area with its host of individual shops and the Pallant Art Gallery. Within the Pallant is a cafe where you can have light refreshments. To those among you who are not familiar with Chichester, everything is very close to each other so you do not have to walk very far to get to your objective.
Our coach will then take us on to Champs Hill. Champs Hill is administered by The Bowerman Charitable Trust. On our visit we will be seeing a collection of paintings from the Newlyn School. The exhibition will include paintings by Stanhope Forbes, Elizabeth Forbes, Walter Langley and many others from this important school.
Outside of the house and surrounding it, is the main garden leading into the woods. The garden houses various sculptures of interest and well worth a visit. During the visit tea/coffee and biscuits (included in price of visit) will be served in the Barn area.
