How did a German family come to reign over Great Britain? A study day of 3 lectures, including a sandwich lunch.
We will find out how the ruler of a minor German state inherited the British crown in 1714, and how this dynasty of five kings reflected their homeland, and how, despite madness, personal excess, threat of revolution and invasion, it left a significant mark upon Britain.
Tickets will be on sale at the September and October Monday lectures. Please contact Stephen Wyman on 01273 494633 for further information and prices, when available.
There will be three lectures through the day, and the price will include a sandwich lunch and a glass of wine.
