This lecture is accompanied by original images of Ypres before World War I, after its destruction, and the same buildings today.
This lecture is illustrated by a selection of original photographs of Ypres as it was before the outbreak of WorldWar I.
Further original photographs illustrate the same buildings after their destruction. These are finally compared with photographs taken very recently, including the lecturer's own photogrphs.
