We’re always on the lookout for new volunteers to join our teams.
Working in small groups, volunteers receive education and training and find it a fascinating, enjoyable and rewarding experience. Although many volunteers do now enter the data into a computer, volunteers are not required to be computer savvy to join – most of the work requires just a pencil and a notepad.
“It has taught me so much. I went in knowing nothing about architecture or stained-glass windows or heraldry, but now it’s surprising what I know.
There is a terrific camaraderie. There’s a whole bunch of people doing the same thing, all recording different sections of the church. You work together and pick one another’s brains. It’s a hobby that I’ve grown to love.” Angela Goedicke, Church Recorder
